Video cameras

We have received the video cameras we want to use predominantly for the diary studies on the dig but might get some other footage of VERA type things.

The cameras were £100 from Maplins and record straight to MPEG4 video, although they seem to use a non-open audio codc out of the box which we will see if we can change. They were converted to flash by FFMPEG, this is how we intend to publish suitable videos on the website. This is the command I used:

# ffmpeg -i CLIP0002.AVI -ar 22050 -ab 32 -b 4096k -f flv -s 640x480 sound.flv

Here are a couple of test videos we made.
